Zillertal Arena In Brief:

• Number of Pistes: The numbered ski pistes goes up to 86 - 43 km Blue, 89 km Red, and 11 km Black.
• Kilometres of Ski Pistes: There is a total of 143 km of groomed pistes.
• Longest Piste: 10 km and 1,930 m of descent - the HohenFresser Tour is Austria's longest downhill valley run.
• Number of Ski Lifts: 51 - 11 cable cars, 22 chair lifts, 14 drag lifts and 4 magic carpets.
• Highest Altitude: 2,500 m at the top of Ubergangsjoch.
• Vertical Drop: 1,930 m.
• Ski Resort Altitude: Zell am Ziller is the gateway to Arena skiing at 580 m.
• Number of Snow Cannon: 320 hectares of ski slopes are covered by artifical snow making.
• Glacier Skiing: Found at the other end of the Zillertal Valley, the Hintertux.
• Snow Parks: Gerlos has a half-pipe and Gerlos, Kreuzwiese and Hochkrimml have snow parks.

The Zillertal Arena, with the villages of Zell am Ziller, Gerlos, Königsleiten, Wald and Krimml is the biggest ski area in the Zillertal Valley.
